Started training BJJ with zero background and I’m very much enjoying my journey here so far. The coaches are very knowledgable and encouraging. They are always eager to answer any questions you have and walk you through the techniques. The mat is very nice and very spacious. The people are amazing. Very welcoming with a strong sense of community. You’ll get to train with locals and variety of people from all over the world. Highly recommend!!!!🔥
I was visiting Bangkok for 3 days only so I did a drop in session. Had 3 rounds of pad work with the coach and some conditioning towards the end of the session. The coaches were very accommodating towards all levels. Overall I had a good training session and would recommend this place!
- Trained Muay Thai
- Stayed for a month
- MT classes available 6 days a week with morning and evening classes
- Schedule consists of: stretching, jump rope, hand wraps, solo shadow boxing/heavy bag work, then switching out with coaches to do pad work, ending with more pad work or sparring.
They provide loaner gear, and you can also buy gear at the shop.
I recommend getting your own gear (hand wraps, gloves, mouth guard) asap if you plan to do more than a drop in / stay longer than a few days
If you're sparring for the first time/are new, make sure you let your sparring partner know or avoid them if they've got an ego/spazzy.
The only negative I experienced was being paired with a few dudes that went a little too hard while not recognizing their experience or larger size/weight difference (was my first few times sparring ever and got rocked a couple of times, while other training parters were technical and educational)
The facility could probably use a little refresh, but that's superficial and doesn't affect the quality of training
They have a large BJJ class as well, though I haven't tried. But if that's more your thing, you can check it out.
I was able to quickly make friends here and aside from the sparring, everyone is welcoming/chill
Schedule and pricing is avail on website
Awsome gym, very welcoming. Huge space with brand new mats. Top coaches for beginners to high level- friendly tuition. Great schedule with sessions early morning, afternoon & evenings. Best gym to train bjj in Thailand!
This is a fantastic gym. The nogi BJJ coach Tyler is exceptionally knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. The classes are taught over the course of several weeks where you will learn an entire system of moves, rather than ad hoc lessons with different positions each class. I feel like I learned a lot compared to other gyms I have trained at.
In a city where you can find Muay Thai gyms in every street corner, Bangkok Fight Lab has a special place in my heart.
I’ve trained here for over a year, and I realized that brotherhood is what sets this gym apart from the rest.
Stepping into gym, you’re instantly greeted enthusiastically by the front desk, making you feel welcomed and part of the family right away.
The instructors are top notch.
I started from zero here, and they’ve patiently guided me through fundamental techniques; Tweaking them over time so that I gained competency.
They also have a high level understanding of skill level and fitness, and were able to push me and help me grow without overdoing it.
And finally, about the gym culture. It's what I love about this place. Everybody wants to help each other improve. There’s no ego.
When I was starting out I had some anxiety when sparring, but everybody there were happy to slow things down which helped immensely in gaining confidence in the ring.
People are very approachable - I’ve learned so much from teammates by following their advice.
It’s not easy to cultivate this kind of gym culture, but Bangkok Fight Lab hits the nail on its head.
Fantastic place to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I started with zero background in martial arts and have had immense amounts of help and support, not only from the great coaches but also from the regular gym goers. Thank you Fight Lab!
A 10 mins walk from the BTS exit at Lotus building to BFL.
No advance booking required, THB 550 for drop in.
Attended 8.30am class & I was fortunate enough to be the only student, it’s slightly quiet than usual as shared by the owner.
Greeted by a roomy space with a front desk area, followed by MMA training ground with the Muay Thai ring right at the back of the gym.
Class programme includes light stretching, 10 mins skipping, shadow boxing & 3 rounds of padwork with trainers; ends with conditioning workouts. I had 5 rounds since I am the only student.
Friendly trainers (no fancy English), clear instructions provided.
Enjoyed my training here! Definitely will be back again!
